This should be a fun WOD tonight, especially if you've never tried Turkish get-ups before. Can't wait to see y'all for my final WOD of 2011.

UNC Rugby vs. Georgia Tech

Come support the undefeated men's rugby team (11-0) in their last home game of the season this Sunday, April 10th at 11AM on Hooker Fields as they prepare to dominate Georgia Tech.

Time: 8:00 and 8:30pm
Location: Eddie Smith Field House

Partner WOD: In teams of two, 4 rounds for time:
4 flights of piggyback carry upstairs
30 Sumo dead-lift high pull
20 Partner-assisted handstand pushups (not against the wall)

The piggyback stairs can be scaled to weighted lunges if necessary. The handstand pushups can also be scaled to decline pushups.

This is going to be a great WOD! If it looks daunting now, that's okay. If you aren't afraid of your workout, you aren't working out hard enough!

Complete as many rounds and reps as possible in 10 minutes of:
30 Double-unders
15 Power snatches

hey guys! this is an easily scaled wod so come on out and get the 'weekend' started right!

- Gymnasts learn new sports faster than other athletes.
- Olympic lifters can apply more useful power to more activities than other athletes.
- Powerlifters are stronger than other athletes.
- Sprinters can match the cardiovascular performance of endurance athlete even at extended efforts.
- Endurance athletes are woefully lacking in total physical capacity.
- With high carb diets you either get fat or weak.
- Bodybuilders can't punch, jump, run, or throw like athletes can.
- Segmenting training efforts delivers a segmented capacity.
- Optimizing physical capacity requires training at unsustainable intensities.
